"Meadow Terrace is in a great location in Shrewsbury. A parking space is available for the duration of the stay. The beds were very comfortable. It is an old house on 3 levels, so quite a few stairs, but with plenty of room for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was our second time here."

"An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. "Our accommodation was very well presented and in a fantastic position for walking out from. It was in a quiet, remote situation, but still accessible to Church Stratton, although the road was narrow and windy, so you had to careful on your drive. The one plus on the drive to Church Stratton was having to cross Long Mynd which gave you magnificent views across Shropshire and an ideal place to walk out to and around. "I love the history of the building. I love it's location, close to St. Alkmund's church. The Bears Steps and Civic Society close by. I love the proximity of the shops, bus and train station. "

Quaint old hotel in the heart of Shrewsbury

"This is a very old building, with creaky floors and slightly worn carpets - but it is very clean. My room was large, perhaps a little old fashioned, but was clean and comfortable. The windows had internal double glazing to keep out the noise and blackout curtains the light. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The breakfast served was amazing with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fresh toast (you make it yourself) and a good full english on offer. The location is perfect for exploring Shrewsbury and all the staff I encountered were friendly. Only downside - there was no bar open in the evening which would have been nice for a nightcap."

Great facilities

"The staff were all so friendly, helpful and attentive. My only complaint would be that you have no fridges in the room for diabetics to keep their insulin in, but we had a work around of ice in a wine cooler!"
