We have stayed in Walla Walla many times, but never at the Marcus Whitman. We will be coming back. Our four night stay was a pleasure. The room was nice and very comfortable. The atmosphere is great. But perhaps, the most important feature of all is the location. We walked to so many of the places we love. This was probably our best of many wonderful trips to Walla Walla.

We stayed in the west wing which has not been renovated recently. It’s loud, the beds sink and the lighting is poor in the rooms. We heard toilets flush in the rooms nearby, we heard the elevator dinging and loud voices in the hall. The beds were very soft and our backs hurt in the morning. It’s a convenient location and our experience may have been different if we had stayed in the tower. However, we had our kids with us so we needed a double queen room.

It was good, but not being in the main building makes it feel less elegant but the main lobby is beautiful and it is dog friendly so that was nice.

We stayed just one night. The room was ok. We were near the ice machine room and it was noisey. Some unclean areas around the tub. Room not good for seniors as tub was too tall to safely step in for shower. Don't know about a welcome gift? In the public areas the property is beautiful!

So everything was great. However after you pay 350.00 for a room, you check out and they charge you 16.00 for so called amenities that the said were for using towels, soaps, and things like that. Really! It was underhanded really to not tell you what you were being charged for.

The Marcus Whitman is always a nice place to stay! This time I stayed in the newer part of the hotel. Our room was very nice, good beds, it was also quieter on the back side of the hotel. The lighting, however, was insufficient to read or look at something in great detail at night. In my opinion, additional lighting is needed. Possibly the problem is exacerbated by the extremely dark color of the ceiling. Thank you.
