While the room itself was good and the location was great, the woman running the B&B was quite rude to us. We were able to book for one night on Memorial Day weekend, but she called weeks after we booked saying that normally there's a 2 night minimum for that weekend because of the demand. We were able to keep the night we wanted, but had to change rooms, which we were OK with. Upon arriving, she immediately accused us of coming on the wrong day and gave us an unwelcome attitude. Even though she rescinded after finding that she was incorrect, she continued to make comments on how we should be staying two nights and held a prejudice against us the entire stay. The breakfast itself only consisted of coffee, tea, yogurt, and fruit, which really means the 1720 House is more of a B than a B&B. To this point, she said "normally people don't stay for breakfast, so I can suggest somewhere else to go. Will you be staying for breakfast or not?" Obviously we went walked down the street 2 minutes to the amazing Waterside Market. We can pretty much say that we will not be staying at this establishment on our next trip to Martha's Vineyard. The location in Vineyard Haven was great, though.
