We were in an unrenovated room which was ok but the fridge was horrible. Freezer full of frost and dripped over everything below. The check in was confusing as far as how much we paid and even though confirmed all booking paid for was charged another night on exit. There was not an itemized list of nights and payments even though requested. I emailed them twice...

"Room and bed were comfortable. Surprisingly quiet for the city, we were expecting much more noise. Breakfast was simple yogurt granola fruit and toast. We thought we would, but never used the pool because it was shady and cold. But very close to the beach and restaurants, even tried the restaurant, Kitty Cat, which I highly recommend! Roof top was enjoyable with a little view of the ocean. Place is a little dated but we assumed this. Was perfectly comfortable and affordable for our needs. "

"This was my favorite RIU property compared to Cabo. This definitely raised my standards. They also had high end alcohol unlike Cabo. The property was beautiful, beach perfect, pools nice with a party side and quiet side, gym was good, drinks are excellent, food was good, room was nice, and the service was great. I can't wait to return. The only negative that it's 45 minutes from downtown but we took a Uber which was easy and cheaper. Honestly, with the themed parties and activities you don't have to leave the resort. However, around 11pm the entertainment team shuts down. "
