"Stayed there for one night and cannot recommend this hotel more. Clean new hotel, with outdoor pool and loads of parking. Staff was very helpful and helped us to book a taxi to Matera historic centre. Everything was on time and punctual. And I can’t forget to mention exceptional breakfast with great selection of food of all varieties and exceptional coffee brought straight to our table. "

"Beautiful hotel. Doing some restoration now but not a burden in any way. Room was spacious and clean. The property is actually spread out over several nearby structures, which adds to the overall appeal. Breakfast was in a modified cave and was a very good buffet. "Our accommodations were lovely. Enjoyed the spa experience. Nice breakfast too. Located in Sassi halfway between the top and the bottom of the hill. I would estimate 100 steps either up or down. Be aware in order to have dinner or sightsee you must go up or down! You also have to carry your luggage. Would not recommend for anyone with bad knees. You can do a tuk tuk tour of Sassi instead and stay on top. It is a lovely town."

"One of our favorite cities and hotels on our Italian vacation. The cave room is beautiful, clean and quiet with modern details. The shower is awesome and heated towel bars were a plus. Breakfast is very nice and they have a bar that opens in the evenings at 5. All is very convenient to walking the sasso. They will arrange for a cab upon arrival or departure if you're taking a bus or train, so reach out as the walk from the main city piazza is far with luggage. Great restaurants nearby."

"This is a property in the Sasso Caveoso in Matera, the most incredible and one of the most ancient places on earth. The views of the Sassi and the caves are incredible and the room carved in the rock was spacious and comfortable. I would have added a TV close to the bed and a second sink in the bathroom but altogether the place is great. Very good service ans evryone is superfriendly and helpful. Also great the breakfastr buffet"
