10/10
I recently stayed at The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel’s design, service, and atmosphere were all in line with what I’ve come to expect from the EDITION brand—elegant, understated luxury with a strong sense of place.
My reservation included dinner at the hotel’s French restaurant, which I had been looking forward to. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff seemed unaware of my booking and were unable to locate my dinner reservation based on my room number. It took some time to sort things out, which made for an awkward start to what was meant to be a seamless dining experience.
Additionally, both breakfast and dinner had been prepaid as part of my booking, but during checkout, the front desk staff initially attempted to charge me again for the dinner. It wasn’t until I pointed it out that the error was corrected.
These hiccups were small but noticeable, especially for a property under the EDITION name, which typically prides itself on polished, detail-oriented service. I still enjoyed my stay and would consider returning, but I hope the hotel can improve in these areas to truly reflect the level of consistency and refinement expected of the brand.
