Check in was swift and easy with staff members who have great English. Facilities and rooms were clean. Ueno is a great place to experience on foot. Decent value even around Christmas time.

We enjoyed our time here very much with Ueno Station being so close yet the hotel has a quiet and tranquil setting. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Overall this hotel worked just fine. It’s super close to the Ueno metro station, Uneo park, some nice malls and neighborhoods. The hotel room we stayed in smelled like feet but it could’ve been worse. The carpet was a bit gross and had some brown stains- the desk chair was also stained and looked a bit gross. Rooms are small but I was expecting this. I think they could remove some furniture instead because this takes up so much space and it isn’t that functional. Everyone was friendly and there was free tea in the lobby!

Great location
Very convenient hotel, once we found where it is in this very large station complex. The room was really small and negotiating where to open bags was a real challenge. However, we are in Tokyo! We were hoping to use their laundry but there are only 2 machines, both of which were in use from when we arrived in the early evening until 9 pm. We therefore had to shelve that idea. Pleasant staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Resol Ueno due to its location and proximity to the train stations and many dining options. It’s safe and the amenities are good. The room is quite small but the bed is comfortable, clean and the bathtub is a good size.

Clean and new
Clean and new hotel! They don't clean your room unless you stay there 5 nights, but it was fine since they swap out your trash and leave fresh towels on your door each day
