"Perfect location and easy to access by public transportation from Bus Stop #9 which is less than a 5 minute walk. The Starbucks next door and the restaurant in the hotel are also extremely convenient. Plenty of nice restaurants and shopping close to the hotel. "

"If you’re staying in Reykjavik prior to a cruise ( which we were) this place is perfect. Staff at desk were fantastic. Buffet breakfast excellent. Rooms don’t get made up everyday. ( we could care less). Restaurants everywhere. Shopping everywhere. Marine excursions right there. Bus stop to main terminal for land excursions just around corner. Can’t say enough about the place. From air port take the flybus to hotel area as taxi VERY expensive. "

Great hotel for a stay in Reykjavik

"We had a great stay at Sand Hotel. The location is right on a pedestrian shopping street full of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. (For an unforgettable meal, book a dinner reservation at the Old Iceland Restaurant.) All the local attractions are no more than a 15-20 minute walk, max. The hotel's complimentary breakfast buffet had lots of delicious choices. Rooms are comfortable with modern, tiled bathrooms. Staff are helpful & efficient. Easy access from Keflavik airport on the FlyBus - get off at stop #14, and the hotel is less than a 5 minute walk."

"Fantastic hotel. Our room was very spacious and had wonderful old-fashioned windows that opened to the park across the street. The bathroom was also large and well equipped. The furnishings really took us back to the art deco age, including a huge painting in our room that was nothing like the typical hotel artwork. Although our room was right next to the elevator, it was very quiet. It was a little noisy on the street at times because the weather was great and people were out enjoying the outdoor seating at the nearby cafes, but it wasn’t a problem. The staff was friendly and very helpful and accommodated an early check-in. Highly recommend!"

"Hotel Fron was perfect for our stopover in Iceland. The location was lively w many eating and shopping options. We had a car and was able to park close by in a parking garage when street parking wasn’t available. The staff was very friendly and do helpful. The breakfast was very good. There was some street noise, but nothing that kept us awake or lasted for extended periods. "
