"Hotel seemed to be newer or newly renovated, the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We stayed in a family room which felt like a clean hostel and was very very tight/small. We seemed to be one of the only guest staying there which made it nice to use the small common space. They had a lot of rooms so I’m not sure how it would be if the hotel had a lot of guest. "One of our favorite stays in Iceland! We arrived pretty late into the night but there was no hassle checking in. Room was clean, bed was comfy! Take advantage of the hot tub, it was a treat soaking under the northern lights. To top it all off, a delicious complimentary breakfast buffet."

"The pictures are misleading. We never saw that small cottage and we never saw that large dining room. Perhaps because there really wasn't much service. Everything was left up to the guests, including washing your own dishes and putting them away with the same towel that everyone else used. The rooms were too small, we could barely fit our suitcases. "to check in you have to call costing you an international roaming charge. check in information could easily be supplied by email. room was nice and clean. kitchen roomy. low rating is for bad check in process and there was NO toilet paper. also breakfast to be ready at 8am was no-where to be seen at 750am. so we left on empty stomachs... parking is "free" but you have to find street parking. no big issue tho. walkable to dinning options "
