The 5th Settlement hotel rooms a the Steigenberger

"Bed was really comfy, soft and cosy, probably better than my own! Shower was a walk-in, powerful rain-head shower. Fridge in room. I did book a standard room but they upgraded us to a better room. Restaurants are good, cheap fare - we ate at the Italian and the casual restaurant. Pizza, carbonara, steak sandwich and ham & cheese toastie all recommended - all of which were only a few hundred EGY each - like £4/$5 - for a massive main course portion. Maybe £2.50 for a big bottle of local Stella. They have posher restaurants as well, but didn't try those. Airport shuttle is free and runs every half hour. We got it form the hotel to the terminal (5 mins journey), can't comment on how to go the other way. As a great airport hotel I would stay here every time. Worth it especially for a night without a traffic nightmare drive from downtown Cairo at stupid o'clock in the morning. "

"Amazing views of the pyramids! I was flabbergasted! Rooftop restaurant was A-1. Front row seats to the Sound and Light show. Room was pretty decent and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful!"
