"I stayed for 2 nights , the staffs were helpful & nice . The room was larege enough , however the bathroom is very small & old styled , especially the shower area , it’s just so small & the two sliding doors of the shower area were too old so that difficult to close properly , maybe our room was not located in the new building of the hotel ?! Maybe the room located in new building of the hotel would be much better & more modern …….. The hand washing liquid machine is not in good condition,...

"Returned to Alpenhotel 43 years after experiencing it as a child and my wife was equally captivated by its charm. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room was excellent with a super view of Lake Traunsee & the mountains and it's a short hop into the charming town of Gmunden. We only stayed 2 nights towards the end of a European driving tour and would definitely go back. Excellent menu choice and top quality good too!"

"FANTASTIC. I tend to leave honest reviews, and I must say that Monte Rosa is FABULOUS. Including the balcony, we had beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape from all four directions (breathtakingly beautiful), and the rooms were also extremely clean and beautiful, like a wooden hut in a storybook. The place is large (one living room + kitchen, bathroom (with the best view in the house), a balcony and two bedrooms). If I visited Switzerland again, I would definitely look for this...
