"This is the first visit to the imperial Torquay but will definitely be going back. The hotel is like it has been plucked out of a poirot movie, grand staircases, Chesterfield sofas, big wingback chairs, beautiful, right up my street. Had a double deluxe with a sea view and the room was huge, and spotlessly clean. 2 comfy chairs to take in the sea view, robes and slippers, toiletries and plenty of tea coffee and bottled water. "We had a lovely view towards Torquay theatre & harbour from our room. Breakfast was buffet style with hot & cold options. We ate in the Brasserie/Compass Bar area for our evening meals. Food was not cheap, but it was delicious! Had the lightest sticky toffee pudding ever! Room was a decent size with a shower over the bath. Tea & coffee making available in room/supplies refreshed. Hotel was nicely decorated fir Christmas. Staff were very helpful - thank you! "
