5/5 Excellent
"Situated right in the middle of the lovely and picturesque town of Rye The George is a beautifully restored Georgian inn with rooms. The bedrooms are spread about a number of buildings behind the main building and mine was beautiful. A good sized bedroom and a large bathroom with both a large walk in shower and a freestanding rolltop bath.
I didn’t eat dinner there but if the cooked breakfast was anything to go by I’m sure the restaurant is good.
Only things to be aware of is due to it’s location there are no parking facilities on site. You need to drop luggage off and then park in a public car park a few minutes away. Also due to the age and hodgepodge of buildings making up The George it might not suit those who can’t easily negotiate steps and stairs.
However if you want to stay in the heart of Rye in a lovely building I can highly recommend. "
