"We had room 9 which had an upstairs with twin beds as well as the double room down stairs. Plenty of space for just my friend and I. Beds very comfy, and we loved having our own outside space at the back. We couldn't put our finger on what the slight odour was in the room, but it didn't spoil our stay, so we didn't report it. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous! as was our meal the night before. This place is very good value for money, and I would stay here again. "

"Such a beautiful stay at the Staycation Maldon. Very nice location at the heart of the high trees. The suite was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and this really made it very special. Spacious rooms with kitchen made it super convenient and comfortable. Aircon/Heating unit in every room was super required due to the cold weather. My wife and I loved it and for sure will be back again 100% recommend!"

"Birds farm is a lovely place to stay for the local Essex or Sussex area. Very quiet in the evenings, despite being just off a busy road. Great facilities, good comfy beds, very warm heating and well supplied cooking facilities. A pool for summer, grounds and a Summer house and a well stocked games room for kids if the weather is bad. "I arrived 1.45pm, check in was 2pm but I was told the room was ready and it was quite quiet. I went to get luggage from the car and then went to the room but it wasn't ready, the cleaner had literally just gone into the room. I asked at reception if another room was ready instead but they said this time that they were really busy and couldn't change room. Whilst it wasn't a huge problem that the room wasn't ready I do wonder if if would have been by 2pm check in. I went away and didn't come back...

"A lovely village pub, nice and cosy rooms, we stayed at the back of the pub and room was lovely and quiet. Nice and warm. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal, food was delicious and service was superb! We will definitely be retuning when we get our next child free evening. "

All good except few minor things

"The TriBeCa accommodation is beautiful and hot tub area very private. Kitchen has all necessities inc dishwasher but imo should have a coffee machine or something to make filter coffee's. Roll top bath and in master bedroom a nice touch but the tv was not working on my visit I have rebooked to go in march so hopefully it will be fixed by then. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Area is quiet and peaceful. "
