The historical atmosphere was a Charm but don't expect modern accessories, like a jacuzzi tub, microwave, plugs with phone charging or warm water without waiting 15 minutes when you upgrade to a king suit.

Have stayed at The Chase many times. The staff is attentive and helpful. Easy walk across the street to Straub’s grocery for snacks. Across street from beautiful Forest Park for a morning walk. Easy access to Forest Park Parkway, Lindell and Hwy 40. Great spot.

The entire property is beautiful inside & outside. The staff is also friendly & helpful. A suggestion....the bathtubs can use safety bars installed on the walls, making it easy & safe to in & out.

This is a historical property in the Central West End, close to Forest Park, variety of dining options and bars. It is a bit dated (for some reason Shining comes to mind 😀). Staff is excellent and experience overall would have been great if not for the blood stains on the pillow cases and sheets (we had to strip them off).

We booked one bedroom suite. The living room area was huge, but the bedroom was small and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. Shockingly tiny. Only one person could be there at a time. No fault of the Chase but electricity was out. It was a hot night in the room. Their generator provided lights but no air conditioning. I called down for a fan at 3:00 am as the temp in our room rose and sleeping was miserable. When we checked out, I accidentally left my pillow behind. I returned before we left town and it took them an hour to find it. An hour. We had actually given up and got down the road when they called to say it had been found so we turned around to get it. They were actually quite rude about it. In the past I loved staying at the Chase but we had an unpleasant experience this go around

Classic hotel near Forrest Park and the hospital complex. Rooms are comfortable and on the larger side. The hotel has restaurants and is walking distance to shopping and other restaurants. My only gripe is the in suite amenities for this price could be better. Plastic cups in the bathroom and just ok bath products. Staff is great and while valet parking at $50 is pricy the. Aleta were speedy and polite.
