"My wife and I stayed at the Rambler for a long weekend away. We went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town Trolley Tour. The Rambler’s location was perfect! About 15 minutes from downtown San Diego meant we were not going to be disrupted by a lot of noise (like planes landing and taking off) but still close enough that a quick drive got us to everything. "My stay was one night and it was good. I was prepared for the overflights from the airport nearby so it wasn’t a problem for me. In my room, the lights next to the bed didn’t work. The lamp on the desk had no bulb so I was dependent on the main overhead lights. There was water under the floor tile in the bathroom so when you step there the water came up and wet your feet. These things were inconvenient but didn’t affect my stay much. "

"it’s a good safe motel "

"The hotel is cute. It had a very comfy bed and pillows. Room was cleaned every day. Only problem was that some nights, some kind of motor was left running which was noisy and made it difficult to sleep. Had a nice restaurant. The location was great. Easy walk to ferry and Del Coronado"

"I am mostly worried about bed bugs and safety. I have gone to this hotel a few times in different rooms and I did not find any bed bugs, nor have I brought any home. The area is relatively safe and they have security cameras. I traveled with my dogs and the staff are always nice."

"I was pleasantly surprised when i walked in. It was very spacious. The pictures online does not do it justice. It was sparkling clean, great location, the bed was comfortable. My daughter said the sofa sleeper was extremely comfortable as well. It’s the best stay I’ve ever had. I stay in only 4 stars, so this property met my criteria. It may not mean anything to anyone else but it was “budget happy”. 10 out of 10, I would definitely recommend this location."
