Enjoy fine-dining, shopping and hours of family entertainment at one of Niagara Falls' most impressive structures.

Aside from the falls themselves, the futuristic Skylon Tower is one of the most recognisable landmarks on the Canadian side of the Niagara River. Towering 160 metres above street level, this popular observation tower offers a stunning aerial vista of the Niagara Gorge and surrounding regions. As well as offering exceptional views, the Skylon Tower complex also boasts a variety of excellent attractions including two restaurants, an amusement arcade, a cinema and a shopping centre.

But the tower itself is the main attraction here. An adrenaline-charged 52 seconds is all it takes for the exterior glass-fronted lift to shoot to the summit. From here, visitors can access inner and outer levels of the observation deck for an unrivalled 360-degree vantage point. The aspect sweeps for miles, taking in the bountiful wine district as well as the urban cityscapes of Toronto and New York. On a clear day, keep an eye out for Lake Erie and Lake Buffalo twinkling in the distance. The views are magnificent at all times, but for a truly unique experience visit the tower at sunset as the sun's red haze spreads like wildfire across the Niagara horizon.

Anticipating that the stunning views may whet the visitor's appetite, the tower has provided a number of convenient dining options. As the name suggests, the award-winning Revolving Dining Room rotates on an hourly basis. Relax with a glass of fine wine from one of the local Niagara wineries while the ever-changing widescreen panorama provides the evening’s entertainment. For those on a budget, the Summit Suite Buffet Dining Room is a great option with tasty dishes that won’t put too much of a dent in your pocket.

With so much to offer, it’s no wonder that the tower is a magnet for all kinds of tourist, from families and nature lovers to culture vultures and honeymooners. So whatever your particular interest, make sure the Skylon Tower is at the top of your Niagara itinerary. You won’t regret it!
