5/5 Excellent
"A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an absolutely breathtaking view over the Bodensee. Staff was all very friendly, though despite us speaking German and English, at times there were some language-based communication challenges with restaurant staff that could be improved. Our family also very much liked the breakfast buffet.
It was super easy to grab a bus at a nearby bus stop to head down into town and enjoy the promenade.
If there would be two things I'd love to see improve, it would be dedicated smoking / non-smoking sections for the restaurant's terrace. Like us, I noticed several other guests being disturbed by other guests smoking and taking away from what is otherwise a great outside breakfast and dining experience.
The second thing, which I recognize will not be easy and certainly isn't a fault of the hotel / staff, would be to find a way to keep wasps at bay. There were plenty of wasps disturbing guests--including our kids--and it also took away from the experience while eating on the terrace.
This was our first stay here and surely not our last--we look forward to coming back to this property!"
