The National Museum of Singapore is a great place to learn about Singapore's history. It is the oldest museum in Singapore but all the galleries have a unique modern flare, which I loved.

I highly recommend their current exhibition Singapura: 700 Years. It commemorates Singapore's 50 years of independence and is the perfect way to learn how Singapore grew from a small village to the financial capital that it is now.

My choice of hotel revolves around finding a comfortable room at a reasonable price. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Only complaint is that it is a fair 10 minute walk in humidity to the nearest MRT Station with a bus stop a little closer. Taxis are reliable and not too expensive.
