"The Langham is located in Xintiandi, one of the earliest renovated Shangahi neighborhoods. It is full of luxury shops, but the former French Concession which is full of beautiful elm tree lined streets is a twenty minute walk away. The breakfasts are bountiful, the service stellar."

In China, everything is like this.  Unless you are away from the cities, construction, traffic and just buying some noodles is moving at a pace that seems just a little out of control.  It has the feel of a pressure pot that has been turned up just a bit too high.

However, I have lived here for a while now, and I have become used to the mad cap pace that everything is running at.  Once you get adjusted to that pace, it is a dream come true for the traveller.  Planes, trains and a shit-load of restaurants and hotels all linked into convenient apps (well, not so much the restaurants) such as Ctrip.

Minhang is well-liked for its breweries and spas. If you're hoping to get in some sightseeing, Qi Zhong Stadium and Qibao Old Street are top spots, and you can jump on the metro at Shujian Road Station or Shuangbai Road Station to get around.

Beautiful gardens and popular shops are a few of the things travelers enjoy most about Gubei. A visit to Huangjincheng Road Pedestrian Street or Song Qingling Mausoleum is also recommended, and you can jump aboard the metro at Yaohong Road Station to get around town.
