"Hotel was relatively new. Easy access to the metro but do require some walk. There were few things to do nearby besides the exhibition center. Room was quite spacious with a good bathtub. Plenty of bottled water provided. It even had a Bose speaker. Swimming pool was decent and never too crowded. ..."

The churches and gardens are just a few things visitors like about Songjiang District. Happy Valley Amusement Park and Sheshan Hill are worthwhile spots to check out, and you can hop on the metro at Songjiang Xincheng Station or Kaiyuan Plaza Tram Stop to get around the larger area.

In China, everything is like this.  Unless you are away from the cities, construction, traffic and just buying some noodles is moving at a pace that seems just a little out of control.  It has the feel of a pressure pot that has been turned up just a bit too high.

However, I have lived here for a while now, and I have become used to the mad cap pace that everything is running at.  Once you get adjusted to that pace, it is a dream come true for the traveller.  Planes, trains and a shit-load of restaurants and hotels all linked into convenient apps (well, not so much the restaurants) such as Ctrip.

Minhang is well-liked for its breweries and spas. If you're hoping to get in some sightseeing, Qi Zhong Stadium and Qibao Old Street are top spots, and you can jump on the metro at Shujian Road Station or Shuangbai Road Station to get around.
