The Koko hotel is relatively close to Sendai station, and more or less in the heart of the city. The room was quite large for the price, and the breakfast buffet was a great value. Given how the hotel is in the thick of things, it's really easy to find just about anything you could need right outside of the door; shopping streets, department stores, and public transit are all around but if the denseness of the city gets to be too much, there are also less densely populated places to shop just a couple of stops away via train. The Koko Hotel is also within walking distance of the Sendai City Museum and the ruins of Hanmaru Castle, which are fantastic places to visit in general.
I love the city of Sendai, and I really enjoyed my time in the Koko Hotel. I would absolutely stay here again.
