Santo Tomas hotel rooms a the Independent

"This is my second time staying here, but I'm sad to say that the rooms I got this time were a little dated and smelled like mold (both of them). I booked two rooms, and the other room had a working aircon, but unable to turn off or adjust settings. I even bought new batteries for the remote. SMCO representative was nice and helpful, but I felt weird leaving the room keys in a locker with NO LOCK. what if someone stole the keys and cleared out the room? Will I be responsible for that?...

"My husband and liked the Taal volcano view, so refreshing to walk around the facilities, the buffet breakfast has variety of foods to savour. We loved it. We enjoyed the three musicians singing for us while we ate, it warmth our hearts. We will definitely stay here again for a quiet and relaxing vacation."
