"Amazing location on the water with awesome views. Kayaks, bikes and free breakfast was lovely. Good social areas, glamping tent was comfy and power and lights were set up well. Use of kitchen was very handy. Dorm room was simple, great beds but incredibly loud right beside the highway. Overall property needs some work, bathrooms were smelly and no hot water, sink area was always dirty. Some lighting around walkways, common areas and front entrance would have been helpful. "The pool is very far from the room. Sliding doors don’t close properly allowing mosquitos to come in. I don’t blame the staff. They are very friendly and tried to help however this property doesn’t look like anything advertised. The bed is made of cement and the mattress is hard. We can’t sit on the porch due to bats droppings and smells of bats. "

"This is one of the nicest small hotels we haved stayed at. The swimming in the lagoon was spectacular. The pool was refreshing. The food was very good. The staff throughout the whole hotel was excellent. There is a coffee maker in the room BUT they charge for the coffee pods. The only thing I would request is that the coffee is included in the price of the room. If you are looking for the best hotel on Lake Bacalar, look no further."
