San Pedro del Pinatar is a pretty town in Murcia, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor lagoon. When you travel to San Pedro del Pinatar, you can start things off by visiting the estate of San Sebastian commonly known as “Casa del Reloj”, the clock house, due to the clock on its main façade. In fact, the area with the mills and mud baths is located within the Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park, a protected natural area spanning some 2,100 acres. It’s home to numerous species of fauna and flora, especially birds, including the flamingo and the stilt. Don’t forget your swimsuit, there are some stretches where you can take a dip in the Mar Menor lagoon.
