"The area around the hotel is a nice part of town, it didn't feel unsafe and I wasn't very worried about the car outside. It's close enough to the French Quarter to walk to everything, and it's also walking distance to the nearest streetcar station, so it's convenient for getting around. Parking was fine while we were there. It's free to park on the street outside and there was room to park across the street whenever we got back. "This is a magnificent place to stay in New Orleans. I stayed here one for a wedding and since then I don’t look anywhere else for a room if the Frenchmen is available. There’s not much to the place except nice old rooms at a great location. The rooms can feel a bit bare and some fixtures are old but that’s part of the charm for us. Excellent pool and hot tub. Highly recommend. "
