"Pension zur Sonne ist eigentlich ein Gästehaus ohne direkten Ansprechpartner. Man zieht seine Zimmerkarte aus einem Automaten. Wen das nicht stört und gerne Treppen steigt, ist dort gut aufgehoben. Parken direkt vor der Tür. Wenige Meter zum Bäcker, Gasthaus und Getränkemarkt. "

"Nice hotel, looks new and updated compared to other hotels in Germany. Very friendly staff! Great drinks at the bar and good breakfast. My only complaint would be the small bathroom/shower but thats par for the course in Germany. Will definitely stay here again next year! "

"The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone from the owners who made you feel like family to all the servers were excellent. The owners spoke English. Although Steffi did not speak a lot of English she tried and always had a smile and was delightful. The tub was an unexpected surprise but a very good surprise. There was also a shower. I highly recommend this gasthof and if we come back we will definitely stay here again."

"If you come on a Wednesday, be careful: the hotel and restaurant are closed and the number on the notice at the door doesn’t work. I was on a cycling tour and had already called the number on the confirmation (which does work) to say I would be arriving at 8.30. "The room i was in was reasonably nice. Dated decor, but clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful, however hardly spoke any English, so it was tricky getting checked in and out. Breakfast was poor. The sausages and eggs were cold (I did get a bit of an upset stomach on my third day, however not sure if this was because of the breakfast or something else I ate outside the hotel) and the bread was hard. Nothing to write home about but if you’re looking for a reasonable place to rest for the night without being in a “hotel” this bed and breakfast in the countryside is a good bet. They have a restaurant and free bread in the morning. I’d stay here again!"
