"This family run small hotel has the bones of a fantastic destination, but some issues to sort. Location in the dead heart of the old town of Ravenna, all sights walkable. Cafes and restaurants close by, opposite the Mercato for supplies etc. The good. Lovely decor, quiet rooms, big rooms and bathrooms. Lift access, bar and restaurant downstairs. Not so good. Air-conditioning, full blast with pedestal fan back up, not up to the job (we had two rooms same problem). Breakfast, continental served in...

"What an incredible property! I was there for one night before boarding a cruise. Everyone at the property was so gracious and welcoming. Breakfast was a beautiful table of pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and fruit. They even made me the most perfect cappuccino to go with it all. The property is so easy to get to from the train station in Ravenna, a very easy walk. All amenities are available within a few blocks, including banks to get local currency, drugstore, grocery store, and even really...

"The hotel is very well situated; about a 7 minute walk from the railway station on the one side and straight into the district including all the tourist sights on the other. Our room was enormous - described as a "traditional" room - which had a marble floor and very high painted ceiling, a huge bed, 2 sofas and a fridge. However, we understand that some rooms are much smaller so it's worth checking what you are booking. The only criticism of the room is that no kettle or tea & coffee facilities...

"This was a wonderful hotel for cruise travelers! The concierge was warm and welcoming, helping us to acquire a taxi the next day to the port (half hour away). The hotel itself is classic, with lots of marble and granite, a small but efficient elevator, easy internet access, clean rooms, big bed options, and a nice neighborhood. It was everything we had hoped for!"
