"The guest house is nestled just below Mount St Benedict’s monastery halfway up said mountain. As such the views are spectacular and the breeze is welcome in the face of the heat waves you can face in Trinidad. It has a decidedly olde worlde tenor with antiques throughout the common areas as well as the bedrooms.The proprietors are charming hosts and the continental breakfast is particularly good. "I was notified by the taxi driver that the area was unsafe. Upon entering the neighborhood we asked two patrol officers for directions and they stated that the area was “hot” and that I could be robbed and/or murdered just for walking in the streets. I took their advise and found another hotel in a safer area. I enjoyed my time in Trinidad and Tobago. "

"The borders were close due to Covid 19 the air line refunded my nonrefundable flight HOWEVER this hotel did not want to offer me a credit for a later stay WHEN PEOPLE WERE FREE TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. Although I was not asking for my money back. I think this was very dishonest. I will never recommend this place to anyone. however I will be in Trinidad as soon as I can.. DO not stay here I only booked because during the Carnival you don't really stay inside just change and go. "
