Booked an oceanfront suite. Staff was very welcoming at check in. Suite was beautiful with wonderful views of the beach and water! Cons - outdated furniture. -the pillows smelt old too - always hosting different meetings. Wasnt really a problem for us because we were out all the time, but most of the restaurants would be blocked off for conferences alot while we were there -alot of lizards and other bugs and critters around -the resort photographers were terrible. Stay away from them. Pros -we loved our suite -food was very good from the few times we indulged -water pressure was great -private clean beach -very easy and convenient walking down and grabbing a taxi -most of the staff was amazing Overall had a great time while we were there

Been fortunate enough to travel the world and stay at some of the best resorts in the world but this one, this one is our absolute favorite! Couple, family, elderly caters for everyone, save, secure, cheap for a 5 star hotel and staff are absolutely excellent. I just can’t recommend enough!! Excellent resort. Phuket is a bit rough but the resort is a nice escape. Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast. Lots of russians who can be rude but I guess that’s normal here. Would come back if I was in Phuket again!

The Front Office staff is Very Rude and the Hospitality is Pathetic. Didn’t feel I was staying at a Le Meridian (Marriott Bonvoy) Property. Otherwise the property is decent and the location is very good.

The property is infested with insects, bugs and little lizards. Maintenance level is bad. One of the rooms had leaks that maintenance had to come deal with. They did not inform us that the property is under construction. Construction noise all the time, visually the pool area is limited because construction is at the main area of the pools right in the middle of the property. They held a wedding that was extremely loud in the morning and the whole day - woke us up to extremely loud drums banging and horns early morning on Saturday morning. We will be looking for a refund and compensation. When we complained the hotel wanted to offer us late checkout - when we said it was not enough, they were only willing to offer us to comp one of the meals of $80. Ridiculous response.

I recently stayed at the hotel and found the rooms to be old but well maintained. The restaurants, food, and staff were excellent. However, there were a few drawbacks to my stay. Firstly, the pool was not filtering properly, with pumps placed around it, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was ongoing renovation work that we were only informed about after making the reservation. Although they did inform us ahead of time, the noise was quite disruptive and often detracted from the tranquility of the beach. One significant issue was the lack of complimentary water in the lobby or at the bar. Guests were required to pay $3 for a cup of water, which was disappointing. While they did leave water in the room, it felt unprofessional. The beach itself was nice, but there was no entertainment provided, making it quite dull. Although the city is just a 10-minute taxi ride away, the hotel lacked nightlife, leaving it quite dead at night. Even during the day, there was not much to do, as there were no staff to lead any entertainment activities despite having the necessary tools. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but I wouldn’t return due to the aforementioned issues.

Why ‘Le Meridien Phuket Beach’ is a good choice
We’ve been here quite a few times over the past 2 decades, and it is still a good place to be; friendly staff, good food, private beach (not that common in Phuket) and great location overall close to Patong beach for a night out. It’s a big hotel and you’ll have to deal with the noisy crowd over breakfast and especially the not so nice beach bed hunting very early morning. If Le Meridien could find a way to avoid this (and somehow penalise those that never show up during the day), it would be a truly superb place.
