Great location, great design, great pools. We had a patio room which was good, but our neighbors partied until 2am and we didnt get much sleep. Next time I would opt for a room in a quieter area of the hotel.

This place is the worst place I ever lived. First we waited for so long at the check in, not because there were too many people. Just because one staff saw us and went back inside without saying anything, the other one started to serve all the people behind us. After she checked in 3 other families behind us, finally we got the room. The room smells terrible. The swimming pool is so cold not heated at all. And they charged high resort fees for what? I booked 2 nights, I only stayed for 1 night then run away, can’t handle it.

We stayed 4 nights and had to change rooms 2x. The 1st room the mini fridge made a high pitched noise, which we dealt with for 1 night but it was hard to sleep. The next room we moved our stuff into had a bit of a smell, so we aired it out only to notice later that the smell was strong sulfur smell coming out of the shower, which, smells like rotten eggs. I’m also pregnant so the smell was just too much to handle 2 more nights. We had booked a room with a patio and fireplace which they didn’t have so we were moved to a suite, which was nice. The staff was very nice about it. You can tell they were very short staff and there were a lot of problems and they were doing the best they could. The staff at Kings highway were a mess and super slow though, again, very nice. The rooms all have record players which we thought was cool and I had just given my husband a record so we tried to play it in each room, but every room we were in the record players were not working (managed to get one to play after he messed with it for a while). The standard rooms are very small, and the suites are essentially 2 rooms put together so for the little extra money that the suite was, I would definitely go for a suite if we were to stay there again. We booked Ace because we were told it was a chill hotel, which for the most part it was, except they host weddings in the middle of the resort so you had to listen to the wedding music for 6 hours each evening which could be heard from most rooms.

There was construction happening at the hotel the day we arrived, which made for a noisy lay-by the pool. Not a deal-breaker, but it would have been nice for it to be acknowledged. Additionally, the hotel bar was closed for renovations - again, no mention. The Ace is starting to feel a little too 'lived in' for the price, and could do with a spruce up. Next year we'll probably stay somewhere else.

This place has gone down hill! Nothing worked on the property while we were there, the Spa was out of order, the workout room closed, no hot water in the room and jackhammering all day long. Rooms are stale and dated. Also, they threw a random $350 smoking charge on my bill hoping that I wouldn't see it. I've been a long time customer, but would never visit one of their hotels again after this unpleasant experience.

Our stay at the Ace Hotel was all we could have asked for when visiting Palm Springs. Near shops, food and the tram up San Jacinto Peak, we loved staying here and would do so again.

I was delighted to hear I was "upgraded to king suite" only to find I was assigned one of the least appealing standard rooms, tucked behind a public fire-pit. At 2am I was awakened to a couple chatting at the fire-pit, and again at 3am then 5am.....when I awoke at 7am, I found a couple camped outside my room, cuddled up with their coffee next to the fireplace. It appears I paid $400 for a bad night's sleep, while the anonymous couple enjoyed a cozy, free, night's stay on the couch, at the outdoor fireplace.

The hotel property is a lot nicer than the actual rooms. The common areas like the lobby, pool area, and bar are very clean. The room was disappointing. The room had a bad smell to it and the sheets had stains. The room was small with old furniture.

I am not happy at all!!! My dad flew from France to visit me and I decided to bring him to Palms Spring. Some genius (sarcasm) decided to have constructions with a loud sawyer, workers loading equipment while people are at the pool on a Friday at 4pm!!!! This happened also Thursday. I have videos and images to submit. This is completely unacceptable. You don't have to have an MBA from an Ivy League school in Hotel Management to understand that you shouldn't have construction workers load and make loud noise on a Friday at 3pm by the pool!

The property is a mess. I’ve stayed at Ace LA, NY, and PS. Love all of them. This time was embarrassing. The energy and event at the pool over Pride weekend was dull and left most guests unhappy and some were calling other hotels to join their pool parties. The shower was awful, no cleaning in the room, restaurant and jacuzzi such mess under restoration. Not a positive experience for $500 per night.
