"This hotel was easy to find and although we speak no French the welcome was warm and helpful. This hotel is the old French style so is quite dark inside but there is a great terrace where an excellent meal was served. After we ordered our meal we received a small pre dinner canapé which we assumed was complimentary as all other tables were served with this treat as well. The next morning we noted it was on our account as petit dejeuner for 18 euro but the person behind the desk did not speak...

"The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"This is a large chateau. The owner has been restoring the property for over 10 years but it is still work in progress. He is an excellent cook and the in house dinners are a good choice. "The staff are welcoming and attentive, I attempted to speak French and when in difficulty found English understood by several staff members. The food & drink quality cannot be faulted, the room and communal areas very clean, WiFi works well :)) On the downside, the bath has a tap with shower attachment but no shower curtain, water inevitably splashes into the bathroom and makes the floor slippy. There was a problem with the bill, additional alcoholic drinks we had not consumed, check your bill...
