We had taken our grandkids to Ottawa for a small getaway. There was a brochure on the table in the room about attractions in the area, we saw Funhaven. It said there was special package for guests, and to ask at the desk. I went to the front desk, they did not know what I was talking about. We ended up going anyway and the kids had a great time. We then decided to get pizza and go back to the hotel to watch a movie. Couldn't find it on the tv, so I went to the front desk enquiring how I go about renting a move, I was told they don't know how to work the TV. The other person at the desk said, well I have seen the charge on the bill so it must be there. So no help and no movie for our 8 & 10 year old grandkids. I will look at other hotels as we do stay quite often in Ottawa.

This was our first time staying at this location and we were very happy with the room, the service and the location. The newly opened Lionel restaurant and bar had a great ambiance and the staff were top notch. The room was a bit small, but we knew that when booking and provided more than enough for us. The bathroom was nice, everything was clean. We did not use the pool & gym facilities. We would highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Anytime I go back to Kanata visiting friends I stayed at this property. Since there are many overside trucks. It would be nice if the parking spaces are wider to accommodate the vehicle. There was a loose bathroom handle bar at the property which I have addressed with the front desk. Otherwise, the most comfortable bed. Tried the new Chez Lionel. The staff still needed some training. Only had dessert and drinks. So far the food was so so.

The hotel lobby and the room were very clean. The breakfast room was not as clean as expected and the breakfast wasn’t worth $15.00, it should be included. The staff were very pleasant.

I did not like the flood lights on the exterior of the building - with todays energy saving designs - lighting on the building should have been included in the exterior design as to enhance the building. Too glaring.

It was clean and staff were nice. The water pressure wasn’t great even when washing your hands the sink wasn’t good water pressure so it would burn your hands and then would take forever to cool down. The pool we fairly clean but very strong chlorine levels and it was like burning my friends and my skin.
