"Great host, very helpful. We stayed for 1 night during May. The cabin was very spacious and had some lovely touches, upstairs screen to stream from, free tea and coffee. The cabin is a detached building separate from the main building that has the shared bathroom in. The cabin also has no sink or toilet you have to also go into the main building which is not really clear in the description. Also be aware when booking that access to the property is via a sunken bridge (no sides or barriers) over...

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and remembered us when we came back for a second time. "This was the best accommodation I have ever stayed at in Japan. Think of this less as a hotel and more as an opportunity to stay in their home and connect with the amazing people of Shimanto. I highly recommend waking up at sunrise to surf and then surfing all day. Afterwards I suggest a long run along the beautiful Shimanto river. "
