"This was the best accommodation I have ever stayed at in Japan. Think of this less as a hotel and more as an opportunity to stay in their home and connect with the amazing people of Shimanto. I highly recommend waking up at sunrise to surf and then surfing all day. Afterwards I suggest a long run along the beautiful Shimanto river. "

"Great host, very helpful. We stayed for 1 night during May. The cabin was very spacious and had some lovely touches, upstairs screen to stream from, free tea and coffee. The cabin is a detached building separate from the main building that has the shared bathroom in. The cabin also has no sink or toilet you have to also go into the main building which is not really clear in the description. Also be aware when booking that access to the property is via a sunken bridge (no sides or barriers) over...

"This hotel offered a great breakfast (choice of Japanese or Western food) which was included in the price but only costs 200 yen if you had to pay for it. "This is an excellent ryokan owned by a family, with clean and neat japanese style en-suite and onsen. It locates at the top of a small hill overlooking the supreme zekkei of the Shimanto River.
