The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. "Extremely remote (nearly a 3 hour bus ride from Kinegawa Onsen Train station into the winding mountains) which was both an adventure and unnerving. Made to feel like a foreigner with little help in understanding the cultural norms as a newcomer to the onsen experience. The in-suite onsen option was incredible, providing both privacy and ability to enjoy the experience as a newcomer free of the "ritual" imposed but not well explained for use of the public hot pools. "オーナーさんは本当にとても良い方で、お料理も美味しかったです。色々な犬種の飼い主さんとコミニュケーションできたり、犬に触れえたのも良かったです。犬連れが多いですが、犬がいなくても大丈夫。 ただ、車で行ったのですが、かなりすごい道を通るので運転は大変だと思います。途中、野生の猿と出会いました。あとは自然が多いので当然、虫も大量発生しています。虫が苦手な人は厳しいです。"
