Was really good, nice and close to the beach. Check in was quick and easy. Nice, clean and simple which is good for a motel. Solid all round, will definitely stay again if in the area.

The owners/managers were lovely and friendly, big plus. As soon as the lady noticed I was with my child she wondered if we'd appreciate an upgrade to the back of the property to be away from the road and entrance of the motel. This accommodation is a stone's throw from the beach! Unfortunately, it's not very soundproof, this of course depends if and who is in the upper apartment, sliding door, talking, toilet use were easily heard. We were very happy with the thoughtful and free upgrade but I have to honestly say that the place we stayed in could do with a big good spring clean inside and out on the terrace.

Very good location next to the beach. Quiet area. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bathroom need an extractor fan for condensation after shower. Very hot showers watch for the kids, there’s no tempering valve on the hot water cylinder. Nice room space overall with coaches tv and everything to feel at home. Brand new cookware.restaurant walkable

We got an upstairs apartment with good privacy, deck off living room. Really liked the bed, medium. (not too hard, like some we have had, like sleeping on a plank). Short walk to the beach which we really liked. Was also great being able to bring our small pooch. We would highly recommend.

We Just did not feel comfortable at all.. The unit as a whole, The Exterior needs a Refresh. The unit had a stale smell to it, And bathroom needs work/maintenance.Toilet set nearly falling off And shower needed a damn good clean

Unit was clean and tidy. Motel was positioned very close to the ocean allowing good exercise options of walking/running/swimming. On a clear day White Island was clearly visible with it's steaming volcano. Dining options were limited in the close proximity of the motel with a 10km trip back to Whakatane for quality meals.

We were very pleased to find accommodation that allowed our small dog. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Good facilities and excellent shower pressure. Most of all the motel is in a quiet area only a short easy walk to the beautiful beach.
