"There are several hotel choices in Berkeley. The "Shattuck" is a classic that has moved with the times. Everything is up to date. Food is wonderful. Great bar. Very comfortable rooms, beds, baths. Service is young but efficient & gracious. Bart & shopping is at your front door. You can't do better in Berkeley, even if you pay more."

"Cute hotel, great location - particularly for access to Embarcadero/Ferry Building. The bathrooms are tiny! The sink is in the bedroom, not in the bathroom. I was traveling solo, so it was fine for me - but I think if it was me and my partner, it would be too tight for the 2 of us."

"Hotel staff were excellent. Next door hotel guest became belligerent and irate in the wee hours of the morning and unfortunately I had zero rest. The walls literally feel paper thin bc I could hear their TV. Our room was also facing the street (SF Port parking area) and semi-trucks were super loud. I hope this review helps in making your decision to stay at Luma. "
