"Great reception staff, room was clean and quiet (with the windows closed, as it's near the freeway, we couldn't keep windows open). I knew they did breakfast, but was pleasantly surprised by dinner and drinks they hosted in the evening. Room was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated. No access to apps through the TV, had to use a firestick. "

"Convenient location and friendly staff. Hotel was older and in need of updating. The shower in our first room was not clean; however the staff ensured we were moved to a new room right away. We went out to dinner and were looking forward to having drinks at the hotel bar, but when we arrived, the bartender seemed put out that we were asking for drinks. "Loved our stay at la Quinta super clean amazing service. Receptionist was extremely kind. Ive done la Quinta hotels other times and was disappointed, but this Quinta Definitely excided my expectations. When I say Super Clean I mean it. Definitely a hotel I will rebook for our next Vacation in San Antonio."

"Very spacious! Family of 6 and we had two queen beds and pull out sofa. Enough room for everybody! We also had the kitchen area as well. Breakfast selections were amazing…will most definitely book again when we’re in San Antonio!!"

"owneri believe puts genuine care into what he does. That said, the area isn't very good which means unsavory characters. I had one guy try to enter my vehicle while I was in it! One complaint I read about was small towels, and that's very true. "

"Alamo plaza is under construction so it was a little hard to find but once we found it it is AMAZING. If you like Texas history, the Menger is the place to stay. We looked at old photos in the hallway for over an hour alone. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, professional and efficient. Well worth the trip. "

"Loved this hotel! It's in an old Alamo Bank building and they have preserved the aesthetics of the lobby perfectly. You can walk down one floor and be right on the Riverwalk and 1 block from boat tickets. Restaurants, cafes and coffee shops everywhere. The rooftop pool and two hot tubs are the cleanest I've seen at a hotel in a long time. The entire hotel and the rooms are also very clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Treat yourself and stay here. Highly recommend!"
