The Executive Inn
They could tell you when booking that they were renovating. They could also give you a club card to use in the club to obtain club prices. I could have saved a bit if they had done this (or at least informed me of the savings.)

it was a great stay and easy to access the hotel and rooms as well as the rooms being very clean and fresh.

Little National Hotel Newcastle
Small room but with a big personality. Room was clean, stylish and bed was comfy. A bit of a tight squeeze for two but would be perfect for a solo trip. Housekeeping staff were lovely. Front desk staff were lukewarm but efficient.
