Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Pros: We liked the location and helpful staff at The Rubenstein, and David made us some great drinks at the lobby bar while giving us tips on what to do and see.
Cons: The room needed blackout shades; we could almost read by the ambient street light. There was lots of street noise (to be expected; Nola is a city) so be sure to pack your earplugs. We stayed for 4 nights and would have appreciated more surfaces or drawers to unpack and settle in. The room was surprisingly spare and we lived out of our suitcases for the most part. We also only received room service on 1 of our 4 nights, which was fine but fresh towels would have been nice. And finally, we would have liked a Do Not Disturb sign for the door.
Conclusion: Would recommend a stay here, but ask for a quiet room, maybe one of the interior ones. Since it's a boutique hotel all the rooms are different and we booked through Expedia so maybe we got one of the less desirable ones. It's a great location in a historic building and we enjoyed our stay overall.
