My first time in New Orleans and this hotel is just what I was hoping for. Character, history, cats, mysterious hallways and stairwells, walkable to everything you want to see//hear in the French Quarter. I loved it. When I come back, I will stay here again.

Was wonderful location and staff. The room was surface clean but I found a sock, toothbrush and hair items that had been there for quite a long time beside and under the sink.

Old historic building which was neat to explore and see all the unique areas. Front desk team was very kind and accommodating and the house cats were a nice surprise. Location is excellent! Our room was neat and clean and bed was comfy. Couple small maintenance issues could be addressed - burned out lightbulbs in the room and our ceiling fan was not working. Overall the building has a few small maintenance issues, not due to age but just lack of attention to detail. If you want to stay in an old historic building, this is the place!

Beautiful historic hotel in the French Quarter only one block to Bourbon St. This hotel was very unique and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating during the first snow storm in 130 years. Upon arrival they were able to upgrade our room from a 2 bed room to a 2 bedroom suite. We loved the 3 cats that live in the main lobby and enjoyed petting them every day. We will definitely return to visit again!

Staff could not have been nicer. We were offered a map, dining suggestions, and an overview of the neighborhood. Great location to walk to restaurants and the WW2 museum. Though the location was central, our room was quiet and cozy. Valet had our car ready and waiting for an early flight along with fresh coffee available. Cannot recommend highly enough.

It is just beautiful! The hotel is an ancient labyrinth full little nooks and perches. The furniture is well worn and the thick curtains are frayed, but that just adds to the charm. The three feline security guards and the staff were friendly and as unique as the property itself. I absolutely loved my stay!

The property is not quite what we expected, but it was an enjoyable stay and a historic place to stay. We did not think that it was a historic site and thought it was more of a hotel. While we did enjoy our stay, it did not have the type of amenities of a normal hotel. If your are looking for a historic place that has more of a bed and breakfast feel, you will love this place.

We enjoyed this property so much. They have three kitties that welcome you when you walk in which we absolutely loved. Well behaved. They don’t bother you unless you bother them. The hotel is so unique and had great charm. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean. Would absolutely stay here again. We enjoyed chatting with Finn Sunday night he was super friendly and sweet.

There's a lot to like about this hotel. First, the hotel is unique, is fun to walk around and explore, and each room is unique. The coffee bar, water bottles, biscotti and tangerines were great to have available in the morning. Also, we liked the three hotel cats. The staff is friendly, and we had an especially great experience with John at the front desk. We were staying there when there was the terrorist attack on 1/1/25, and there was a lockdown; John helped ensure everyone was calm and helped make people comfortable. It's also easy to quickly get to many of the locations in the French Quarter that would be of interest. There were a couple of issues: during our stay, housekeeping didn't do anything with our room (except for replacing two washcloths with two dirty ones that may have been a mistake); our room had a lot of maintenance needs like the toilet kept running, faucet kept dripping, and other various small repairs/touchups needed on the walls and furniture; and our room was on the street so there was lots of noise at night (although that's probably to be expected).
