"I stayed here on business with a colleague. The Manager is extremely eloquent and we shared a lovely drink with him at a local bar he was attending. Attention to detail is everything and a way of life here. The way their staff are looked after here is inspiring, the quality of Swiss life shines through is the service. I wouldn’t book anywhere else locally, I’d always choose this hotel in future, given the choice."

"Always a fabulous stay at the Berchtold. Super covenient to public transportation, clean, nice rooms, great staff, and great food. If you are there at the holiday season, try to get a reservation in to the Raclette chalet as early as possible since it books up really quickly! The Berchtold is our go-to hotel any time we are in Burgdorf or the Bern region. "

"This hotel was beautiful! We had a car, which made it easy to get to. There was a bus station at the bottom of the hill if you don't have a car. Stephanie, our hostess, was so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good. The restaurant was closed for dinner the two nights we were there during the week. I would recommend this place if you want an excellent view of the ALPS."

"Clean, updated and super easy transportation into Lucerne (#20 bus) boats, train station other bus lines. Would have been nice to have a mini microwave in room but still ok. had great views from our second floor room of the Alps. Staff was excellent, Samuel is THE MAN for everything. Breakfast is not traditional American style but more than ample. Cold cuts, cheeses, breads, yogurts, excellent coffee choices, pastry and fruits."

If I remember correctly Kriens is only 2/3 stops away from Lucerne which I think is a fantastic town. The offer the usual continental breakfast which I found to be fresh each day. Overall I had a really comfortable stay. "

"The room was nice but we seemed to be a distraction for the staff as they tried to run the restaurant. You have to walk through part of v the dining area to get to the rooms which makes things difficult when they are full. After driving to get to the hotel, they were not willing to allow us to eat there, starting they were full, even though the dining room was empty when we checked in. "

"Small hotel close to the train station and about an 8-10 minute walk to the old town. The “big room” was spacious with a nice sitting area. I saw the “medium room” and it was big enough for 2 people. You may hear trams go by but it’s not loud and frequent. The area around the hotel is great with several coffee shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again."

"Loved the decor and design at this hotel! The bar area is particularly lovely and serves great food. Breakfast had a variety of options to enjoy. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Excellent location- 10 mins tops to the riverside, same again for the station. Area around the hotel is busy but felt safe. Room was nice/stylishly done, but did have an ‘open’ set up to the bathroom, which when sharing may or may not be an issue? Something to bear in mind. All in all, a great stay!"

If you like connection then maybe its not the best hotel for you, but the contactless check in was simple and the service via Whats App was great. The xmas night market was just outside the hotel, which made it very magical. Highly recommend staying here. "
