"Staff were very nice and accommodating. They even started the breakfast a bit earlier as I have to leave early for work. Room was spacious with antique decor. Only issue was shower head in the bathroom wasn’t working properly but it didn’t bother as there was bath tub as well. Bed was big and comfortable. TV screen was bigger than more big name hotels and was Smart TV and I used my own login details to use various apps. Parking is on the street. Right outside 2 hours free parking available...

"Our overnight stay at The Portland guest house went very well. We managed to park close by and the check-in process was very speedy. Unfortunately, though, I hadn't taken into consideration that, being a town house, there would be a lot of stairs with an open balustrade which was an issue for my partner who suffers from a form of vertigo but, after explaining the situation to Rachel, Sian dealt with it quickly by putting us in a room on a lower floor. "This town was amzing, we had so much fun walking around and seeing the beauty of this place. The roads are crazy to drive in my opinion but everyone insists on driving on the wrong side..haha. The hotel was quaint, parking was tight but they did have it. The bed was not very comfy though. It was a little warm in the room so we slep with the window open. We didn't like that the keys were old skeleton keys and you had to lock it with the key from the inside, we aslo had friends across the hall and...
