The hotel was nice, but not conveniently located, it was a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station. As an American, none of the staff spoke much English. Or could help us with any type of directions or amenities in English? The rooms were clean, but there was no air condition. We were on vacation, we were very excited to be in Germany and did not need to be catered to But some of the amenities were limited, such as only German channels on television, At breakfast, all of the food labeled in German. At the hotel, such as the fitness center. Was only labeled in German. When I asked the staff for more bacon, she did not understand what I was saying, even though she was putting the food out and we were standing right next to the empty bacon container, and we did not feel safe if there was some type of emergency due to the lack of communication in our own language.

Das Zimmer war sehr groß, was mir am Anfang aufgefallen war, war die tiefe Türklinke. Erst dann haben wir gesehen was es ein Rollstuhlgerechtes Zimmer war. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, die Ausstattung war auch gut (Mikrowelle, Spüle, Kühlschrank), einzig der Duschvorhang war nicht unsers, aber das ist dem Zimmer geschuldet. Da das Hotel an dem Tag ausgebucht war, war dementsprechend das Frühstücksbuffet chaotisch. Zu wenig Platz für zu viele Menschen, und für den Preis hätte ich mehr Auswahl erwartet. Einzig gut, Kinder zahlen nichts für das Buffet, was den Preis wieder schmälert. Die Auswahl an Spirituosen an der Bar ist überschaubar und nicht außergewöhnlich. Das Bier war lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett. Alles in allem war es ok, aber nicht herausragend.

Breakfast was really good. Appreciated the checkout time: 12 pm, it gave us extra time to rest and get ready. Downside: the area around is not very walkable- closest busstop is at 6 minutes walk. Also our room had carpet- i am not a big fan of it. Rooms was qquirky- unlike normal rooms- shower area was separate from the toilet- quite convenient as we were 4 people in the room- 2 adults and 2 teenagers- we did not have to wait for showering if the toilet was occupied. It had a bar with sink- which was also very convenient for making tea.

I loved the room, it was modern and spacious. Nice big shower. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet, however it’s a bit of a walk to get to the closest subway station. Overall had a great stay, the only (minor) thing is cleaning service never emptied our trash can nor gave us new coffee in the room. Other than that, great experience!

Unfortunately, i can not highly recommend this stay to the others. The room was facility was clean but the home keeping did not do a great job. They had not taken my coffee cups and tea cups for 4 days long. Also the charged me hot beverage fee for the tea that i took on the cupboard which is normally free for all my previous stays.

We’ve had a pleasant stay at Novotel. The staff was courteous, the amenities were ok, and the ambiance was delightful. However, there was an incident that left a sour note in an otherwise pleasant stay. Upon my check-in night, we were greeted by an unwelcome guest, a cockroach in the room. Naturally, this was an unpleasant surprise and not something one expects in a hotel of this caliber. When I reported the incident to the administrator on duty, I was disheartened by their initial response. They seemed to try and shift the blame onto me, suggesting that the insect had entered when we opened an outside window. ( I was explicit in my explanation that it was my first room entry and no opening windows). While I understand that bugs can find their way into any space, I found this explanation lacking in accountability and not customer friendly practice. Apart from this unfortunate incident, stay was quite comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed.
