Mount Dobson Ski Area Hotels

"We were very impressed with the room and how nice it was but can't help but feel misled by the pictures in the original post. There are a lot of new developments in the area so the pictures shown on the listing are not the view you will get. I'm not sure if any of the rooms have that view. We booked this place solely on hoping for some mountain views, but instead we were looking at another unit. Also went out to look at the stars but all of the motion lights kept turning on so we had to walk...

"Nice new hotel with really good breakfast. The only negative was that we were on the ground floor so people are walking past us all the time. Couldn’t have the window open due to this. If you stay I would recommend an upstairs room instead. "

"Nice accommodation for a night. Didn't have a kitchen area with a sink for washing dishes. But overall it was very comfortable"

"The room has a small patio where we can sit and enjoy watching the sheep and chickens that live in motel’s backyard, something that not many places offer. A toaster, silverware, a kettle and plates/bowls are provided."

"This property was a very nice surprise. We had to make a detour from Haast, Fox Glacier and Fran Josef glacier due to slip activity so we made reservations here, Hanmer Springs then back to Graymouth to get back on schedule. The accomodations here were very nice. Kitchen, B/R and bath. We backed right up to the door to unload our luggage. The shower was super nice. The choice of TV channels was far above average. The motel is walking distance from downtown. Beware, the Four Square closes at 7pm....

"Tidy and roomy"

"We had a lovely stay at this place. The unit was roomy and very clean. We had a Mountain View right outside our slider. A quick 10 minute drive and we were right in town. While there be sure to star gaze at night. What a beautiful display of stars. If you want to book an excursion for this do it ahead of time as it books up quickly."

"Hayden is very responsible, friendly and helpful. The apartment is with nice view, clean and well equipped. "

"The toilets needed more attention "

"Good place close to the Tekapo lake and they have a good kitchen to make your food and also, they had washrooms and toilets close to the room rather than holiday parks so that's a good advantage. "

"We stayed at the Shearers Quarters and it was a lovely stay. There was a dedicated parking space, beautiful bathroom with soaking tub and comfortable king size bed. Easy walking access into town and helpful hosts. Our stargazing tour was canceled due to cloudy weather but the office for that was right down the street. "
