Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Our room was on the first floor near the stairwell so it was dark. Light bulbs were not a warm color so they cast an “institutional” feeling especially with the grey decor. No closet or rack to hang clothes. I would recommend an upper level for some natural light if you stay here.

The lights were dim, one of the lights weren’t working, the door for our room had a gap under it, enough for something to crawl underneath, and the door didn’t properly lock. When I look under the table underneath by the bed, there was gum underneath it, the staff was cool and friendly, and the bedding and everything else was fine. Only thing we didn’t try was the breakfast, which was on us for getting up late.

Right off the 1 fwy @ Marina State Beach. Good breakfast included. Room was basic but clean and had hot water, fridge and microwave. Overall, great hotel to crash at night after a day in Monterey Bay

Evening staff were lovely - able to quickly provide us with extra towels and toiletries. Renovation was welcomed and generally well done. Unfortunately, the bathroom requires an update as the shower head fell off several times while in use and very slow drainage of water in bathtub. Food was mediocre, even by Best Western standards. Only hot food were biscuits and gravy. Overall, good value to rest your head for a night or two, maximum.

The first few times we stayed there was good but last few times we’ve gotten loud neighbors and couldn’t move rooms because our young kids were already asleep and then the neighbors became loud.
