"I am so very pleased with my stay at this hotel. I have seen several others in the United Kingdom and elsewhere, and I wish I had selected them when I was there previously. The front desk is absolutely phenomenal. There are hot and cold drinks and snacks available 24 hours a day with a very spacious common area that can be used for work or take away food or watching television. In the common area, they have a very simple breakfast offering for only £12. This includes all you can drink, coffee, cappuccino, and hot chocolate, which in itself is worth it as you’re heading off on tours in the morning. The room was simple yet perfect. I was not sure how I would feel about staying in a room without a window, but there is so much to do in Edinburgh, and the hotel is so centrally located that I basically just used the hotel room as a stopping ground for sleep, showering, and catching up with people at home. There is a 24 hour restaurant down the street with excellently priced food including pizza, kebobs, salads and so on. Every tour that I went on for my five day stay was within a 20 minute walk at most from the front door of the hotel. You can get to Edinburgh castle in less than 10 minutes on foot. They are strict about the 3 PM check in, but that is fine because there is so much to do no matter what time of the day you arrive. I highly suggest staying at this property; especially, because the price is so reasonable for the surrounding area if you book in advance. Kudos!!!"

"Service was good, hotel located on quieter side of city but still walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. Rooms were fairly large (extra bed fit nicely for 3rd person) and very comfortable with fridge, coffeemaker and electric water kettle. Thanks for the nice stay and breakfast vouchers for the kids!"

"Very convenient and clean and in a great area of Edinburgh. The Waverley train station is steps away and the staff is kind and thoughtful. Great breakfasts every morning sent us off to explore the city with full bellies! I will stay here again for sure."
