"Nice hotel set within lovely grounds. Rooms a bit dated and needing some TLC. Our room had a broken bathroom lock which, after reporting, was sorted very quickly. Breakfast was good with an excellent selection however we dined in the Brasserie on the second evening and were told only pizzas and salads were available due to an issue in the kitchen. "I have just had a lovely stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean. I noticed a previous review saying that the room was cold. I put the heater on and it was warm in 5 minutes. The staff were amazing especially check in at reception, the bar and the lovely lady at the spa. They were all so helpful and attentive. I had a lovely time at the spa. Room service was nice. It was such a relaxing stay. I will stay again."

"This was by far the best room we stayed in during our entire Scotland trip! It's a bit far and difficult to access Edinburgh if you don't have a car, we went to a car park half way there, and ubered into town. (I don't like driving in downtown Edinburgh, the pedestrians are crazy!) The restaurant is best for breakfast. It was calm and quiet. But the stairs! No elevator, so beware! "

"Lovely modern hotel. Nice bar and restaurant. We weren't very hungry when we arrived but wanted something to eat. The selection of sandwiches was good and the ones we had were very tasty. Good selection of food at breakfast. Hotel was approx 35-40 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, with a few things to look at along the way. There are bus stops nearby, but we choose to walk.
