"Such a beautiful place. The owner is very friendly and has great managing and hospitality skills. The food is all plant based which is fantastic and the free breakfast is amazing, healthy and filling. There is a beach nearby. Would happily stay again- we stayed for 5 days but could have stayed 2 weeks. Perfect end to our honeymoon."

"Loved the area and closeness to the playa and the restaurants at this end were delicious. There was a bit of construction maintenance going on the first few days for the better. "The casita de playa was breathtaking, waking up every morning with the sound of waves, animals, and the warm ocean breeze was a life changing experience. Being able to cook breakfast and rinse off in my own private space on the beach could not be matched. The proprietors and family who manage the hotel were extremely kind, knowledgable, and helpful. The body and facial services from Eliel and Marcos were so wonderful, I left feeling like a new person. I wish I could live here."

Cheladas in Paradise

"So fortunate to have spent a week in paradise! Casa Ofelia is off the beaten path, right on the ocean and has everything you need to spend a relaxing week in paradise! My room was spacious, authentic and right on the water! The luxury of listening to the thunderous waves every night was impressive. Kudos to Mari & Carmen for making delicious breakfasts and lunches. Chef Arturo aims to please and will whip up whatever you crave! A special shout out to Luis for helping me along the way. One note, Mazunte is not Cancun, you will not find hordes of tourists, Walmarts, Oxxo's etc. Due to recent rains some of the roads are washed out, so bring proper shoes if you want to explore. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into town down a dirt road with stones and pot holes. Looking for a reliable and honest taxi? Then call Carlos on WhatsApp!
